Pasta Sauce: Avocado- Cashew Cream


1 Avocado
½ cup Cashew Nuts
½ Cup Water
1 tsp salt
2 Fresh Pepper corn
¼ Lemon
1 tsp Nutritional Yeast (optional)


  • Soak the cashew nuts in water for about 4 hrs (if you forgot to do so it is fine as well


  • Place all ingredients in a mixer & mix until creamy. You can adjust the amount of water according to how creamy/ liquid you want the sauce to be.

People are often of the opinion that nuts and avocados make you gain weight, because of their high amount of fat. In fact, they have been found to remain a stable weight and even aid in weight loss. Both avocado and cashew nuts are rich in healthy fats, which, besides supporting heart health, help your metabolism function properly and burn fat (as long as you eat a healthy amount J). Both of these are rich in antioxidants, support healthy skin and eyesight.

By the way the avocado- cashew cream also works well on sandwiches, wraps or as a salad sauce.
